Plot |
Ben Mears (Rob Lowe) lived in Jerusalem’s Lot as a small boy where he witnessed a brutal murder/suicide in the large house on a hill overlooking town. Now he is an author who has returned to the town to write a book on evil in small towns. He wanted to rent the infamous house on the hill, but has discovered that it is occupied by an odd pair of gentlemen who recently opened an antique store in town. While he is investigating his story, he befriends local teacher Matt Burke (Andre Braugher), waitress Susan Norton (Samantha Mathis), and Dr. James Cody (Robert Mammone). The four of them begin to witness strange deaths and occurrences in town. Their investigations reveals that the town is overrun with vampires, led by newcomers Kurt Barlow (Rutger Hauer) and Richard Straker (Donald Sutherland). A classic battle of good and evil ensues that will haunt Ben for the rest of his life. |
